Sea Surfing – Kovalam/Varkala

Kerala provides two prominent locations where surfing occurs. Surfing schools are also present for beginners to fulfill their surfing experience. The first location is at Kovalam Beach. Kovalam is known for its beautiful beaches and peaceful atmosphere. Located 40 minutes drive from Thiruvananthapuram, Kovalam offers a good surfing spot over and above its tourist attractions. The other location in Kerala is Varkala. Varkala is located not too far north from Kovalam. Varkala offers a good surfing experience in the shores of the Arabian Sea while being flanked with beautiful cliffs and Kerala’s famous greenery.
